Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate wirework large swing handle, navette shaped, cake basket with pierced and engraved borders. Bears the crest of the Gray family, "Fast Anchor" and a monogram of AG. Dates to around 1780.

In excellent order with no dents, creases or wirework damage. Swing handle is ever so slightly misshapen and the pivot movement a little loose, so the handle does not stay in the upright position. 

Moderate surface wear commensurate with age.

Approximate weight is 790 grams.

Approximate dimensions are 36 cm length, 24.5 cm width and 12 cm height without handle raised.
