A Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate Claret Jug, circa 1770 - 1780. Raised on a square pedestal foot upon four ball feet. The jug, of vase or shield shape form with rattan handle. Beaded detail and applied leaf detail throughout.
In excellent order with light surface wear commensurate with age. The item has not been replated and no loss of the original silver layer.
Approximate weight is 683 grams.
Approximate dimensions are 29 cm height, 16 cm handle to spout length and 10 cm depth.
