Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate Crested Souffle Dish & Liner. circa 1820. The dish is raised on four scrolled and outswept feet with leaf mounts. The dish has a gadrooned border and twin handles with leaf mounts. The liner has shell detail to enable easy lifting from the dish. Features a rubbed in silver square containing the crest.
The dish was probably in the possession of the Allfrey family of Charleston, West Dean and later at Friston Place, West Sussex. It's likely owner was George Allfrey of Stamford Hill. A copy of the heraldry report accompanies this item.
In excellent order with light surface wear commensurate with age.
