Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate Epergne, circa 1810. Raised on four reeded legs with scallop shell feet. The four small dish holders supported by eight curved arms terminating in scallop shells. The leg supports meeting at a domed finial with fruiting berry detail. The large dish holder with gadrooned and beaded detail. The epergne features a large diamond cut glass dish to the centre and four smaller clear glass dishes to the outside.
In good overall condition with some losses to the matched glass dishes. Three of the smaller glass dishes are without damage and one has a small loss to the upper rim. The large glass dish has some losses to the raised sections that decorate the top rim. The frame has not been replated and is in excellent order.
Approximate weight is 4.5 kilos.
