Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate pierced and curved slice of rectangular form and with a reeded handle.The piercing is of very good quality and features what appears to be a repeat fan design. Dates to late 18th or early 19th century.

This is an item from the Gordon Crosskey collection. He was the author of the reference book "Old Sheffield Plate - A history of the 18th century plated trade".

Condition is good with some copper bleed and high wear to the handle and blade.
