Georgian, George III period, Old Sheffield Plate inkstand. Features a central wafer box and taperstick, flanked by a pair of cut glass inkwells housed in attractive openwork holders. The stand itself has upturned ends with reeded borders and tapered outswept feet. There is a crest of a stag at one end of the stand.
In excellent order with light surface wear. No glass damage. The mounts on top of the glass inkwells are a loose fit to the bottle collars.
