Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate, vase shaped pedestal teapot, circa 1810. Features a hardwood handle and orb finial. The borders are finely gadrooned and the teapot is raised on a rectangular pedestal foot. Monogrammed to one side.
In very good order with no dents or creases. There is copper bleed and high surface wear commensurate with age. traces of solder repair around the base of the spout. Wear to the very narrow gadrooned borders. The flush hinge is in excellent order, with no movement. Watertight when filled with boiling water.
