Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate, Tankard, circa 1770 - 1780. Features a domed and hinged cover. The handle with ornate thumb piece and heart shaped terminal.The body with a reeded girdle and slightly skirted base with a wooden underside.
In very good condition with some wear to the original silver layer and copper showing through. Free of any inscriptions or engravings. Light surface wear commensurate with age. Free of dents. Slight solder traces on cover rim, near the hinge.
