Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate Wirework Basket, circa 1770 - 1800. Features a twist effect swing handle and a reeded border. Raised on an oval foot.
In very good order with light surface wear commensurate with age. The base has a crease and a few pressure marks on it. All of the wirework struts are held in position. There are areas of light copper bleed.
Approximate weight is 476 grams.
Approximate dimensions are 27 cm length, 17.5 cm width and 8.5 cm height with the handle down (17.5 cm with it raised).
