Georgian, George III, Pair of Crested Old Sheffield Plate Heated Dishes, circa 1800 - 1820. The dishes are heated by placing hot water in the reservoir. The dishes have a shallow recess and can be used either as a serving dish or a hot plate. Both have twin loop handles and a crest to the centre. The undersides and interiors are tinned.
In very good condition with moderate surface wear and light scratches commensurate with age and for their use as tableware. Some small losses to the rolled over silver edges.
