Georgian, George III, Pair of Matthew Boulton Old Sheffield Plate Candlesticks, circa 1800. Features stepped circular bases with a band of gadrooned detail. The plain tapered stems leading to a gadrooned shoulder and urnular sconce. The removable nozzles with gadrooned detail.
In excellent order with light surface wear commensurate with age and areas of warm copper bleed. These are a good heavy pair of candlesticks and both stand straight.
Features the twin sun mark for Matthew Boulton to the base of each candlestick.
Approximate weight for the pair is 2 kilos.
