Georgian, George III, Pair of Silver Buckles. Of curved rectangular form with openwork detail.
Each is hallmarked with the lion passant and the rubbed kings head duty mark of George III. Each buckle also has a partially obscured maker's mark of WA for William Abdy, or his son William Abdy II. The makers mark and kings head mark dates this pair to between 1786 and 1821.
In excellent order with light surface wear commensurate with age.
Approximate weight for the pair is 57 grams or 1.8 troy ounces.
