Georgian, George III, pair of silver entree dishes and covers. Of oval form with reeded rims and twin reeded loop handles. The domed covers with with fluted, vase shaped finials. Crested to the exterior of the covers and interior of the dishes.
In very good condition with high surface wear commensurate with age and their use as serving dishes. Scratches to the base of dishes and their undersides. The bases and covers are numbered three and four.
Each base is hallmarked for London 1789 by William Laver. The two covers are part hallmarked with the makers mark, lion passant and King's head duty mark.
Approximate weight for the pair is 1.920 kilos or 61.7 troy ounces.
Approxiate dimensions of one are 37.5 cm length, 21 cm width and 9.5 cm height.
