Georgian, George III, matching pair of silver entree dishes and covers with detachable, naturalistic, loop handles. Of plain form with gadrooned rims and borders. Free of any inscriptions or engravings. The covers can be used as further serving dishes.
Condition is excellent with moderate to high surface wear commensurate with age and use as serving dishes. Scratches to the base of the dishes and heat marks to the undersides, as is normal for entree dishes of this age.
The bases and covers are hallmarked for London 1814 by Joseph Craddock & William Ker Reid. The detachable handles are part hallmarked with the lion passant and kings head.
