Georgian, George III, pair of silver mounted gentleman's clothes brushes. One is embossed with a court jester while the other features a scribe. Both are surrounded by scrolls. The embossing is more than likely the work of one silversmith, although the two silver mounts were originally by different makers.
Hallmarked for London 1809 by Thomas & Joseph Guest & Joseph Craddock and London 1811 by Napthali Hart.
Condition is excellent with moderate surface wear commensurate with age. Possible traces of old gilding.
Approximate weight for the pair is 470 grams (250 & 220).
Approximate dimensions of one are 17 cm length by 9.5 cm width and 5 cm height.
