Georgian Old Sheffield Plate small inkstand. Of small proportion and of oval form.Raised upon four outswept ornate bracket feet. Features a raised and pierced beaded border. The two bottle sleeves are also pierced and beaded. Enclosed within the sleeves are a blue glass inkwell and pounce pot.
In excellent order with light surface wear commensurate with age and some copper bleed.
No makers mark, but dates to circa 1780.
Approximate weight is 277 grams.
