Georgian, George III, Scottish silver cake basket with reeded bale handle and gadrooned borders. Features bright cut engraving and outlined with wrigglework. Raised upon a spreading rectangular foot. The surface of the basket features a wreath enclosed vacant cartouche.
In very good condition with moderate surface wear to the basket main surface. The underside of the rim features a few small raised or uneven areas.
Hallmarked to the underside of the base for Edinburgh 1804 by William Marshall.
Approximate weight is 900 grams or 28.9 troy ounces.
