Georgian, George III, Set of Four Scottish Silver Salts. Of cauldron form with gadrooned rims and raised on three hoof feet with shell shoulders. A faded crest to each.
Rubbed hallmarks for Glasgow 1776 by Milne & Campbell.
In very good condition with light surface wear commensurate with age. One salt has had a patch repair and two salts have signs of the shell part of the feet pushing inwards. These are shown in the last two photos.
Approximate total weight of all four salts is 354 grams or 11.3 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions of one salt are 6 cm top rim diameter and 4.4 cm height.
