Georgian, George III, silver coffee biggin with the crest of a wild boar and arrow. Of plain cylindrical form and raised on a circular foot. Coffee biggins are coffee pots with an innner rim allowing for a filter to be suspended from a metal ring.
In excellent order with light surface wear commensurate with age. Free of dents and splits.
Hallmarked to the body and inside the cover. for London 1817 Rebecca Emes & Edward Barnard I. The date letter on the body is rubbed, but the faint outline of the letter b can just about be seen.
Approximate weight is 538 grams or 17.2 troy ounces.
