A large and heavy Georgian, George III, silver coffee pot of plain, baluster form on a pedestal foot. Features bead embellished spout and borders. The hinged cover is domed with an urn finial. The main body features a lion rampant crest.
In excellent order with light to moderate surface wear commensurate with age. Very slight gap between the foot and the body, but very secure.
Hallmarked to the main body for Newcastle 1788 by John Mitchison.
Approximate weight is 879 grams or 28.2 troy ounces.
