Georgian, George III, silver cream pail with blue glass liner. Features pierced foliate decoration, lobed rim and rope twist bale handle. There is a vacant cartouche.
Hallmarked to the underside for London 1770 by William Plummer.
Condition is very good with a few minor chips to the top rim of the blue glass liner. The bale handle does not stay in the upright position, but moves freely on the pivot. The pierced work is in excellent order. Moderate surface wear commensurate with age.
Approximate dimensions are: 6.5 cm height (with handle down) and 9 cm top rim and handle down diameter.
Approximate silver weight is 57 grams or 1.8 troy ounces.
Approximate total weight is 141 grams.
