Georgian, George III, silver entree dish and cover on silver plated warming stand with later silver liner. The original entree dish and cover are of plain form with reeded handles and borders. The cover can be turned upside down to be used as a further serving dish. The liner is a Victorian addition and probably made to fit this particular entree dish. It's unlikely that a liner would have been present originally. The entree dish sits on a lovely Victorian silver plated warming stand which is raised upon four paw feet. The entree dish cover features the crest of a bird.

In excellent order, without repair, dents, or splits. Some minor surface wear only.

The entree dish and cover are hallmarked for London 1798 William Abdy II, although hallmarks to  the dish are rubbed.  The liner is hallmarked for London 1855 by Walter Morrisse.

Approximate silver weight is 1.069 kilos or 34 troy ounces.
