Georgian, George III, silver gilt centrepiece with ruby glass bowl. Of oval form with a pierced gallery and terminating in paw feet. Very fine leaf and swag detail, crested with a stork.
Condition is very good with a slight distortion to the frame. Some evidence of repair with traces of solder. The glass bowl is not original and has a tiny chip to the top rim.
Hallmarked to the pierced gallery for 1798 (London) with the Kings head duty mark. No maker's mark or lion passant is present.
Approximate silver weight is 1.090 kilos or 35 troy ounces.
