Georgian, George III, silver gilt meat tray and meat dish. Of oval form, featuring reeded and ribbon raised borders and crests.
The purchaser will receive a detailed report concerning the armorial. It relates to the marital arms of Leveson-Gower and Sutherland.
Condition is very good with no repairs, splits, dents or creases. The gilt is worn and there are scratch marks to the bases, as you would expect from carving meat. High surface wear commensurate with age. These items are in their original condition and have wear, due to age and nature of their use. These can be regilded, at cost, or the existing gilding removed, if desired.
Each is hallmarked for London 1785 by James Young.
