Georgian, George III, silver hot water jug. Of plain, baluster, form with domed cover and urn shaped finial. The cover rim features beaded detail and the handle is covered in rattan. Raised on a circular collet foot with no inscriptions, or later chasing.
In excellent order with light surface wear and very light pressure marks, commensurate with age.
Hallmarked to the base for London 1783 by Thomas Chawner. The inside rim of the cover is further part hallmarked.
Approximate weight is 792 grams or 25 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions are 29 cm height, 17 cm length and 11.5 cm depth.
