An original George III silver inkstand with two silver mounted cut glass ink pots and a silver mounted and cut glass pounce pot.
The inkstand features two pen rests and thee pierced galleried holders for the bottles. It stands on four scrolled bracket feet. The inkstand base is hallmarked for London 1790 by William Plummer. The three bottles are all original and cut identically. The pounce pot is hallmarked silver by William Plummer. One of the ink pots has very rubbed hallmarks for William Plummer and I cannot see any hallmarks on the second ink pot.
There is absolutely no damage or repairs.
The approximate weight of the silver inkstand is 366 grams or 11 3/4 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions are 23 cm length, 14 cm width and 9 cm height.
