Georgian, George III, silver pedestal caster of baluster form. With a pierced cover and finely detailed turned finial. Raised on a spreading circular foot with reeded decoration. The body features a band of reeded decoration and a lion crest.

In excellent order and free of dents and creases. No solder marks. Hallmarks are rubbed, but readable, due to being on the body where it has been polished. A tiny loss to the reeded band on the body, but barely noticable.

Hallmarked to the body for London 1796 by Alexander Field. Part hallmarked to the cover with the King's head duty mark and lion passant.

Approximate weight is 72 grams or 2.3 troy ounces.

Approximate dimensions are 15.5 cm height and 5.5 cm base diameter.
