Georgian, George III, Silver Mustard. Of oval form with later chased detail and a vacant cartouche to each side. The hinged cover has a plain thumb piece. The blue glass liner is a later replacement and is not as high as the silver mustard frame, but allows it to be used as a mustard pot.
Hallmarked to the underside of the base for London 1800 by John Emes. Further part hallmarked to the cover.
In very good condition with moderate surfce wear commensurate with age. Higher wear and slight splitting at the top of the left hand scroll of the vacant cartouche. This is caused by the later chasing and best seen in photos two and three.
