A Georgian, George III, heavy silver soup ladle. Of shell capped and threaded, fiddle pattern. The crest is that of the Baines family of York.
Condition is excellent with light surface wear commensurate with age.
Hallmarked for London 1810 by Mary & Elizabeth Sumner (mother and daughter silversmiths).
Approximate weight is 270 grams or 8.68 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions are 35 cm length and 10.5 cm bowl width.
