Georgian, George III, silver tea service. Each piece stands on four ball feet and has a gadrooned rim. The tea service is decorated with an unusual band featuring shells and fish. The sugar bowl and creamer have reeded handles and are gilded to the interior.
In excellent condition with light surface wear commensurate with age. The teapot is watertight, with the ebonised handle and lid secure.
Each piece is hallmarked for London 1810 by Solomon Hougham. The maker's mark on the sugar bowl is partly rubbed.
Approximate total weight is 1.135 kilos or 36.49 troy ounces.
Teapot: 28 cm length, 15.5 cm height and 13 cm depth.
Sugar: 21 cm length, 9.5 cm height and 9.5 cm depth.
