A Georgian, George III, silver teapot. Domed cover with ebonised finial and Greek key border detail. A band of foliate chased detail above a recessed girdle in the main body. The teapot sits on a narrow oval plinth with Greek key detail. The handle is ebonised.
Hallmarked to the underside of the base for London 1804 by Abstinando King. The interior of the lid is also hallmarked with the lion passant.
In very good order with light surface wear commensurate with age. Traces of solder towards the bottom of the handle support and where the spout meets the main body. The teapot does not leak and is free of dents and creases.
Approximate weight is 493 grams, including the handle and knop, or 15.85 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions are 28.5 cm length, 11.5 cm width and 15.5 cm height.
