Georgian, George III, silver teapot, of squat, circular form and matching stand. The part fluted teapot has an ebonised knop, loop handle and faded crest. The stand is loaded with what appears to be mahogany wood.

In excellent order with moderate surface wear commensurate with age. There is some movement in the flush hinge of the teapot, not affecting function. Free of dents, creases and splits.

Both are hallmarked for London 1808 by William Burwash & Richard Sibley. The maker's mark is partly obscured on the stand. The inside of the teapot lid is further part hallmarked.

Approximate total weight of teapot and stand are 966 grams. The stand is filled.
