A George III two part silver wine funnel with monogram.
In very good condition with moderate surface wear commensurate with age. The bowl slightly misshappen.
The upper, strainer, part is hallmarked for London 1789 by Alexander Field. The bottom section is part hallmarked with the lion passant and king's head duty mark. It is possible that the date could be 1809, as the year mark is identical to that of 1789 and Alexander Field was still active then.
Approximate dimensions are 12.5 cm length and 8 cm bowl diameter.
Approximate weight is 76 grams or 2.4 troy ounces.
