Georgian, George III, Set of Ten Crested Silver Tablespoons. Of Old English pattern with the crest of an antelope emerging from a ducal coronet, below a baron's coronet, to each terminal.

The family money came from trading in Liverpool and land holdings in north Wales, as well as plantation interests in Jamaica and slate mines in Wales. He sat as an MP for Peterfield and Liverpool between 1761 and 1790. He was created Baron Penrhyn of Penrhyn in 1783. A copy of the heraldry report accompanies this item.
Rubbed and distorted bottom struck hallmarks for London 1771 by Thomas Chawner. All hallmarks have been photographed.
In excellent condition with no creases or splits. Moderate surface wear commensurate with age.
