A Rare Georgian, George III, Thirty Six Piece Silver Gilt Cased Dessert Service for Twelve. Housed within a fitted wooden case. The spoons are all of Old English thread pattern.The knives and forks with capped handle terminals.
The twelve fork stems and handles are hallmarked for London 1799 by Moses Brent. The twelve knife blades are hallmarked for Sheffield 1799 by Robert Trickett & Co. The handles feature the lion passant and mark of Robert Trickett. Six spoons are hallmarked for London 1800 by Richard Crossley. The remaining six spoons are hallmarked for London 1799 & 1800 by Solomon Hougham.
In excellent condition with moderate surface wear commensurate with age and use as dining items. Heavier wear and light pressure marks to the filled handles. All knife blades and fork tines are in good order with all handles holding them firmly. One tine has had a repair, but this is sound and ready to use.
