Georgian, George III, Twelve Silver Tablespoons. Of Old English pattern, each crested with three feathers.
The crest on these spoons is for Blofeld and they are likely to have been the property of John Blofeld (1725 - 1805) of Hoveton House, Wroxham, Norfolk. He served as a Deputy Lieutenant and Justice of the Peace for Norfolk.
Hallmarked for London 1787 by Hester Bateman.
Approximate total weight of all twelve spoons is 732 grams or 23.5 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions of one spoon are 22.5 cm length and 4.4 cm bowl width.
In excellent condition with moderate surface wear commensurate with age. Some rubbing of the hallmarks, but all have been photographed.
