Georgian, George IV, Pair of Old Sheffield Plate Sauce Tureens & Covers, circa 1820 - 1830. Of circular form and raised on four elaborate paw feet. With twin leaf capped handles and a heavily gadrooned border. The domed cover with fixed loop handles on a bed of foliage.
One tureen and cover are numbered 10, whilst the other tureen is marked 4 and the cover 12.
In excellent order with small areas of copper bleed. Free of dents, creases and repairs.
Approximate weight for the pair is 2.09 kilos.
Approximate dimensions of one are 22.5 cm length, 16.5 cm diameter and 16 cm height.
