Georgian, George IV, Scottish silver salver raised upon four ornate bracket feet and with a shell and scroll border. The main surface of the salver features foliate and scroll chasing to the outside. The centre features a beautifully engraved social history inscription relating to a Joshua Waddington of the Elland cum Greetland Gas Light & Coke Company and is dated 1866. There is also a monogram of JW above the inscription.
In excellent order with light surface wear.
Hallmarked for Glasgow 1822 by Robert Gray & Son.
