Georgian Set of Four Old Sheffield Plate Circular Entree Dishes & Covers, circa 1810 - 1830. Gadrooned detail to the borders and ornate reeded removable loop handles on a leaf bed. The dishes, covers and handles all with rolled over silver edges.
The four dishes all with the maker's mark of a crown and the initials W A. The W A mark is repeated on three handles and the crown mark is on two covers. These marks are unidentified.
In very good condition with moderate to high surface wear and scratches commensurate with age and for their use as serving dishes. There is the occasional area of copper bleed. The dishes and covers are free from dents and creases. All of the covers have had small holes drilled into the tops, but these are covered when the handles are in place. This set is ready to use.
