Georgian, George IV, Set of Six Silver Double Struck Kings Pattern Regimental Table Forks.  Each fork is marked with the insignia of The 49th (Princess Charlotte of Wales's) (Hertfordshire) Regiment of Foot. This was a line infantry regiment of the British Army, raised in 1743. In 1828 the Regiment was posted to India for 15 years. Under the Childers Reforms it amalgamated with the 66th Regiment of Foot to form the Princess Charlotte of Wales's in 1881.

Each fork is hallmarked for London 1828 by William Chawner II.

In very good condition with moderate wear commensurate with their use as cutlery. Regimental cutlery would have been used over many years and there is wear to the tines.

Approximate weight of all six forks is 605 grams or 19.4 troy ounces.

Approximate dimensions of one fork are 20.5 cm length and 2.8 cm tine width.
