Georgian, George IV, Set of Six Scottish Silver Dessert Forks. Of fiddle pattern form with an identical crest to each terminal.
The forks are hallmarked for Edinburgh 1827/28 by Franklin & Sons. The marks are quite rubbed. The maker's mark is not visible on one fork and the date letters are not visible on two forks.
In excellent condition with light surface wear commensurate with age.
Approximate total weight for all six forks is 204 grams or 6.5 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions of one fork are 16.7 cm length and 2.3 cm tine width.
