Late Georgian Old Sheffield Plate Meat Dish. Of shaped oval form with a heavily gadrooned raised border. The initial G is inscribed to the reverse in Old English lettering.
Marked to the underside with the twin sun mark of Matthew Boulton, circa 1820 - 1840.
In excellent condition with moderate surface wear commensurate with age and use. Higher wear to the underside. Small areas of light copper bleed.
