Georgian, Old Sheffield Plate, wire work basket with bale handle, circa 1820. Sits on an oval and reeded base above four outcurved and ornate bracket feet. The basket features a gadrooned rim and a very fine and ornate bale handle. The overlapping wire work is in excellent order and the handle stays in the upright position. No repairs, some minor surface pressure marks and a little copper bleed. There will be signs of use and surface wear.
