Indian Silver Presentation Cup for Hyderabad Rifle Association. Won by The Royal Artillery Team. The inscription is dated 1887 and features the names of the officers in the winning team.
Marked to the underside of the foot for Peter Orr and Sons of Madras. In 1876 Peter Orr and Sons were designated as Manufacturing Jewellers, Gold and Silversmiths to His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales.
In excellent condition with a small area of repair to the underside of the foot rim. It looks like a crease has been pushed out and there is no solder. This is clearly shown in the photo of the underside of the foot and does not affect use.
Approximate weight is 455 grams or 14.6 troy ounces.
