Late Georgian Old Sheffield Plate Egg Cruet Set for Four Persons, circa 1830. The stand is of circular form with a scroll, leaf and shell border. Raised on four ornate bracket feet with a loop carrying handle. The stand holds four egg cups and four spoons. The spoons and the stand have matching, but worn, crests of an eagle.
In excellent order with light surface wear commensurate with age. Some light copper bleed to the raised areas and silver layer wear to the lead filled egg cup border. Free of dents, creases and splits.
Approximate weight is 860 grams.
Approximate dimensions are 24.5 cm diameter, with spoons in display position, and 19 cm height.
