Late Victorian Silver Plated Salver with Crest for Sir George Newnes. The salver has a raised and reeded border with a band of engraved decoration surrounding the central crest. It is raised on three scrolled bracket feet.
Sir George Newnes (1851 - 1910) was created a Baronet in 1895 and served as an MP for Newmarket and Swansea. He also built the cliff railway that connected Lynton & Lynmouth. A full copy of the heraldry report will be given to the buyer.

In excellent order with very light surface wear commensurate with age.
