Rare Maltese Roman standard 917 silver mounted desk blotting sheet holder. Features four silver corners around a black vinyl covered board. Dates to circa 1940 - 1960.
In good order, with a slight curvature to the board. The silver has a few very minor surface depressions and moderate surface wear.
Each corner is hallmarked with the Maltese Cross, the 917 mark (917 parts per 1000 of silver) and the silversmiths mark of MC. This silversmith is unidentified.
Approximate weight is 439 grams.
Approximate dimensions are 46 cm length, 32.5 cm width and 0.8 cm height.
