Matched pair of Georgian, George II & III, silver cauldron salts. Of plain form with a single band of reeded decoration. Raised on three hoof feet and free of any inscriptions. The pair are identical in appearance except for a very finely beaded detail to the top rim of one.
In excellent order, free of dents and splits. Light surface wear, commensurate with age.
One is hallmarked for London 1753 & the other for 1765. The maker's marks are too rubbed to read.
Approximate weight for the pair is 80 grams or 2.57 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions of one are 7 cm diameter and 3.5 cm height.
