Pair of Georgian, Matthew Boulton, Sheffield Plated Wine Coasters, circa 1820. Features turned wooden bases and crested white metal bosses. The outer rim decorated with shells, scrolls and leaves. The faded crests depict a lion rampant holding an arrow.

In very good condition with no dents or splits to the metal. Splits to the wooden bases, but they are sound. The coasters have been replated.

Both feature the twin sun mark of Matthew Boulton.

Approximate weight for the pair is 690 grams.

Approximate dimensions of one are 17.5 cm diameter and 5.5 cm height.
