Victorian Regimental Entree Dishes & Covers. Insignia of the Harts (Hertfordshire) Militia Regiment . Of shaped oval and lobed form with removable handles. The covers can be used as further serving dishes once the handles are removed.
In very good condition with high surface wear and light scratches commensurate with age and for their use as mess serving dishes. The dishes are marked 1 & 4, whilst the covers are marked 2 & 3. Cover 2 fits dish 1 and cover 3 fits dish 4.
Both bases are marked for Elkington, Mason & Co. with a date letter for 1854.
Approximate weight for the pair is 3.1 kilos.
